Melissa Teo

Melissa Teo is a highly experienced professional in the fields of social work and child protection, currently serving as a Principal at Minderoo Foundation since February 2020 and previously holding the position of Manager, Content Development. As a Child Centred Play Therapist at Play Therapy Advantage since July 2017, Melissa has demonstrated a commitment to therapeutic practices. Prior to this, extensive experience includes roles as a Senior Child Protection Worker at the Department for Child Protection and Family Support from May 2009 to February 2020, and as Acting Team Leader in 2015. Melissa has also worked as a Senior Social Worker in the Assessment Team at London Borough of Merton and served in various capacities at the Department for Child Protection and Family Support, Cyrenian House, and Royal Perth Rehabilitation Hospital. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Social Work and a Bachelor of Arts with double majors in English and Anthropology from The University of Western Australia, along with specialized training in Child Centred Play Therapy from Play Therapy Australia.
