Derek Crain

Derek Crain, LICSW, is a co-founder and executive director at Mindful Therapy Group and CEO of Mindful Support Services, roles held since June 2011. In addition, Derek serves as an affiliate clinical instructor at the University of Washington School of Social Work and practices as a psychotherapist specializing in trauma and addiction through Addiction and Trauma Therapy & Consulting. Prior experience includes positions as owner and psychotherapist in a private practice, discharge planner at Providence Health & Services, emergency room social worker at the University of Washington Medical Center, hospital social worker at Evergreen Healthcare, mental health program specialist at Fairfax Mental Health Hospital, and juvenile rehabilitation parole counselor at DSHS Woodinville Treatment Center. Derek holds a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Washington and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Criminology from California State University, Northridge.
