Founder and CEO at MindRight Health

Ashley Edwards is the Founder and CEO of MindRight Health, a proudly Newark-based tech startup with the mission of advancing health equity by making mental health care radically accessible and inclusive. In 2020, MindRight Health was awarded the CTIA Wireless Foundation Catalyst Award and was part of the inaugural cohort of Google for Startups Accelerator: Black Founders. In 2022, Ashley will become the Inaugural Visiting Social Entrepreneur at Stanford University Graduate School of Business and join the Advisory Committee for Equitable Investments at RockHealth.org. In 2021, Ashley joined the Racial Equity Advisory Council at NewSchools Venture Fund and the Mental Health Advisory Council at Zoom.

Prior to founding MindRight Health, Ashley was the Chief Executive Officer of MindRight Foundation, an organization advocating for the mental health needs of communities of color. During this time, Ashley was a recipient of the AT&T Aspire Accelerator, Forbes 30 Under 30 Social Entrepreneur, Forbes 30 x 100 - Leading "Top 30 Innovation of the Next Century", Fast Forward Accelerator, New Profit Millennial Impact Fellow, Camelback Ventures Fellow, Halcyon Incubator Fellow, 4.0 Schools Tiny Fellowship Recipient, StartingBloc Fellow, Stanford GSB Miller Social Change Leadership Award recipient, and UPenn Milken Education Business Plan Competition winner. In 2019, Ashley became a Forbes U30 Board Member.

Prior to MindRight Foundation, Ashley was the MBA Project Lead for the Affordable Pre-School Launch at Ekya Schools and a Summer Associate at Draper Richards Kaplan Foundation, a venture philanthropy firm supporting early stage, high impact social enterprises. Ashley also held a Venture Capital MBA Internship at Atrium Capital in 2015.

Ashley Edwards attended Yale University from 2008 to 2012, where they obtained a BA in Economics. Ashley then attended Stanford University Graduate School of Business from 2014 to 2016, where they earned a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.). Ashley also attended Stanford University Graduate School of Education from 2014 to 2016, where they earned a Master's Degree in Education.
