Marcus R. Lopez

Marcus R. Lopez is a dedicated individual with extensive experience in mentorship and research. As an alumnus of Minds Matter of Los Angeles, Marcus engages with high school students from low-income families, offering support through workshops and panels. At STOKED, the nonprofit focusing on community and action sports, Marcus actively participates in events and workshops. As a Research Technician at Rice University and previously part of the Mellon College of Science Summer Scholars Program at Carnegie Mellon University, Marcus has contributed to significant research, including training undergraduates and exploring immune modulators and synaptic plasticity. Academically, Marcus is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Cell & Molecular Biology at Carnegie Mellon University, following studies at Alliance Leichtman-Levine Family Foundation Environmental Science High School and Los Angeles City College.
