Ruben Pineda

Ruben Pineda is an experienced professional currently serving as Community Relations Superintendent at Cobre Panamá, a position held since June 2016, following various roles including Engineering Superintendent and Mechanical Supervisor. Pineda has a strong background in preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment, as well as mechanical engineering focused on the installation of static and rotating equipment, notably involving steam turbines and generators. Previous experience includes positions as a Junior Reliability Engineer and Summer Engineering Intern at Cobre Panamá, as well as roles as a Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant at the University of Nevada, Reno. Pineda holds a Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nevada, Reno, and an MBA in Business Economics, along with postgraduate studies in Business Management from Universidad Latina de Panamá. Additionally, Pineda has a foundational education in Civil Engineering from Universidad Tecnológica de Panamá and Natural Sciences from Escuela Secundaria Angel Maria Herrera.
