China Wang has worked in the software engineering industry since 2011. In 2011, they worked as a Math Tutor at The University of Arizona, where they obtained their CRLA Level II Advanced Tutor certification. In 2012, they worked as a Software Tester at IBM, where they automated test cases by writing and running test scripts for Tivoli Storage Manager. In 2013, they worked as a Section Leader at The University of Arizona, leading a weekly hour-long discussion section. China also worked as a Software Development Intern at Sandia National Laboratories, researching and installing an infrastructure monitoring application, writing additional plugins using Python, and revamping the web interface using PHP, HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap. In 2014, they worked as a Consultant Developer at ThoughtWorks, where they were a key member of a team that delivered two iOS apps and helped build an AngularJS web app. Since 2017, they have been a Senior Software Engineer at Minerva Project, working on Forum, the platform that enables users to take classes using active learning.
