Marina M.

Marina M. is an accomplished R&D Scientist currently working at Minervax ApS, specializing in assay development for vaccine research related to Group B Streptococcus (GBS) since June 2023. Prior experience includes conducting research on complement gene expression in various tissues under inflammatory conditions at Lund University from June 2020 to January 2023, under the Anna Blom Research Group. Marina M. completed a Master's thesis on the roles of C3 protein in pancreatic islet inflammation during Type 2 Diabetes and has also interned at Stefan Schwartz lab, focusing on HPV16 oncogene pre-mRNA splicing patterns, and at Klas Flärdh lab, studying protein localization. Earlier professional experience includes a role as a Clinical Laboratory Assistant at Kaiser Permanente and participation in a project at CZ Biohub investigating aging mechanisms in mice. Marina M. holds a Master of Science in Molecular Biology from Lund University and a Bachelor's degree in Molecular Biology from the University of California, Berkeley, along with an Associate’s Degree from Diablo Valley College.
