Neil Muncey

Neil Muncey has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Neil began their career as a Research and Development Engineer at Rosslyn Precision, where they focused on refining existing designs and conducting research on fabric bonding techniques. Neil then worked as a Senior Instructor at Girlguiding UK, where they were responsible for safety management, staff training, and teaching clients.

After that, Neil joined United Biscuits as a Biscuit Engineer, overseeing the delivery of development projects. Neil then joined the Ministry of Defence as a Naval Platforms Analyst, where they analyzed and characterized naval surface platforms and provided engineering expertise.

Neil's next position was at Beca, where they served as a Project Manager (Associate). In this role, they managed simulation and modeling projects within the industrial market segment and handled marine projects for the New Zealand and Australian Navies.

Neil then joined Thales as a Senior Project Manager, leading the development and delivery of Computer Based Train Control (CBTC) systems projects in Western Canada. Neil was responsible for major projects like the Vancouver Skytrain Evergreen extension and the Edmonton North Light Rapid Transport project.

Neil then worked at Vanderlande as both a Project Manager and a Reliability Engineer. As a Project Manager, they oversaw multiple baggage handling projects, while as a Reliability Engineer, they were responsible for defining, monitoring, and optimizing maintenance processes and system designs for sites in North America.

Currently, Neil is a Reliability Engineer at MineSense Technologies Ltd., focusing on reliability engineering.

Neil Muncey earned an Honours Degree in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering from The University of Edinburgh between 1994 and 1998. Neil later pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Marine Technology from the Marine Technology Education Consortium, completing their studies from 2005 to 2007.
