Sérgio Almeida began their work experience in 2011 as a Student Researcher at INESC-ID, where they developed their master's thesis on Geo-replication in Large-Scale Cloud Computing Applications. Sérgio also worked on a European project called "TARGET" that focused on developing a serious game for employee training.
In 2012, Almeida joined Altitude Software as a Junior Backend Software Developer. In this role, they were responsible for developing the Server component of the Altitude uCI 8 software product and was part of the Core team.
