Valentina Ariztía

Valentina Ariztía is a Geographer with extensive experience in climate policy and marine governance. Currently employed at the Ministerio de Defensa Nacional in Chile since June 2021, Valentina focuses on the study and review of climate change policy, including long-term climate strategies and adaptation plans for coastal areas. Previously, from July 2018 to June 2021, Valentina worked at the Subsecretaría de Pesca y Acuicultura, where responsibilities included processing legislation related to coastal marine spaces for Indigenous peoples and conducting spatial analyses. Valentina holds a degree in Geography with a focus on Territorial Planning from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso, earned between 2012 and 2018.
