Chris Nicol is an experienced Electrical Engineer with a strong background in developing collaborative technological solutions for educational devices. Since July 2010, Chris has been with SMART Technologies, initially serving as a Firmware Engineer before advancing to the role of Electrical Engineer, focusing on hardware development for DViT interactive whiteboards and flat panels. Prior experience includes work as an Electronics Contractor for Science Alberta Foundation, where Chris designed and repaired educational devices, and as an Electronics Engineer at Grindcom, specializing in control systems for forestry equipment. Chris also contributed to academia as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Calgary, supporting laboratory sessions and grading student assessments. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering from DeVry Institute of Technology.
