Rebecca Burson is an experienced manager and data analysis expert currently serving as the Manager of Data Analysis at the Ministry for Primary Industries since November 2022. Previously, Rebecca was the Chief Advisor for Data at the Ministry of Education of New Zealand, where significant contributions were made towards improving the understanding of the education workforce and enhancing data offerings for informed policy-making. Earlier in Rebecca's career at the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment, positions included Principal Analyst in Sector Trends and Senior Research Analyst, contributing valuable insights into New Zealand's science and innovation system. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy in Experimental Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Psychology from Victoria University of Wellington.
