Patrick Wetaka

Patrick Wetaka is an experienced agricultural professional currently serving as an Agricultural Inspector at the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries since February 2023. Prior to this role, Wetaka worked as a District Agricultural Extension Officer at the International Institute of Rural Reconstruction, contributing to the Agricultural Value Chain Development Programme in Central Uganda. Wetaka has also held the position of Agronomist at Amatheon Agri Uganda, overseeing various crop operations, and served as a Research Assistant at the International Institute for Tropical Agriculture, focusing on the National Banana Agronomy Project. Wetaka holds a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture from Gulu University and is pursuing an MSc in Crop Science with a focus on Agronomy at Makerere University.
