Head Of Waste Infrastructure at Ministry of Environmental Protection

Yohanan Burstyn has had a diverse work experience. Yohanan is currently the Head of Waste Infrastructure at the Ministry of Environmental Protection, a position they have held since August 2021. Prior to this, they were a Senior Advisor to the Director General at the Israel Ministry of Energy from May 2020 to October 2021. Yohanan also held multiple roles at the Ministry of Environmental Protection, including Senior Advisor to the Minister Ze'ev Elkin, Hazrdous Materials Supervisor, Recycling Supervisor, and Cordinator for Renewable Energy & Energy Efficiency. Yohanan worked at Nanonics Imaging Ltd as a PP&C (Production Planning and Control) from August 2008 to February 2010, and as an Environmental Consultant at E. Sharony Environmental Engineering from November 2007 to July 2008. Yohanan started their career at The Jewish Agency for Israel as a Community Manager from September 2001 to September 2002, where they organized and executed activities for different age groups in the Jewish community and established collaborations with other organizations for joint projects.

Yohanan Burstyn pursued their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Environmental/Environmental Health Engineering from Technion - Israel Institute of Technology from 2003 to 2008.
