Jaak Erik Laja

Jaak Erik Laja is an experienced administrative professional with a background in international projects, education coordination, and hospitality management. Currently serving as an Administrative Assistant at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia since September 2022, Laja previously held positions as an Internship Coordinator and Project Manager at the University of Tartu, overseeing internship processes and managing international university projects. Additional experience includes leading the Hotel Reservations team at Kuoni Tumlare, where responsibilities included team management, scheduling, and client negotiations, and serving as a Liaison Officer during the Estonian Presidency of the Council of the European Union. Laja holds a Master’s Degree in European Studies from KU Leuven and a Bachelor’s Degree in History from the University of Tartu.
