Liisa Toots

Liisa Toots currently serves as the Director of the Media Relations Bureau at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia, a position held since February 2022. Previously, Liisa Toots worked as a spokesperson and adviser at the Estonian Mission to the United Nations from December 2019 to February 2022, focusing on Estonia's activities during its membership in the UN Security Council. Additional experience includes roles as a media adviser at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from October 2017 to December 2019, and as a communications consultant at the Estonian Government Office from October 2014 to October 2017. Liisa Toots began the professional journey as an intern at the same government office in 2013. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Political History and European Studies with a focus on Political Violence from the University of Helsinki, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities, specializing in General History and Scandinavian Languages and Culture from the University of Tartu.
