Shi Min How has held various roles in several government ministries and organizations in Singapore. Starting in 2004, Shi Min worked as an Assistant Director in Cluster Development at the Singapore Tourism Board until 2008. Following this, Shi Min served as a Manager in Business Development at ST Electronics from 2008 to 2010. Shi Min then transitioned to the Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports, where they held the position of Assistant Director in Reaching everyone for active citizenry @ home (REACH) from 2010 to 2013. In 2013, Shi Min joined the Ministry of Communications and Information as a Deputy Director in REACH until 2014. Since 2014, Shi Min has been working at the Ministry of Social and Family Development in various roles including Deputy Director in Family Engagement Branch from 2014 to 2019, Senior Deputy Director in the Office for Women's Development from 2019 to 2023, and currently as Director in Partnership & Programmes at the Early Childhood Development Agency.
Shi Min How completed their Masters of Counselling at Flinders University in the year 2023. Prior to that, they obtained a Graduate Diploma of Counselling from Swinburne University of Technology, completing their studies in 2022. In 2017-2018, Shi Min How pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at NBS Alumni Affairs, NTU. Shi Min also holds an Honours degree in Economics and Statistics from the National University of Singapore, earned from 1997 to 2001.
