Elizabeth Steele has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Elizabeth currently works as a Research Associate at the Minneapolis Heart Institute Foundation since April 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Optum from March 2018 to April 2021, starting as a Senior Consultant and later transitioning to the role of Associate Director. From September 2013 to December 2016, Elizabeth worked at Gallup as a Regional Director for Northern America, first as a Consulting Specialist and then as a Consulting Associate. Elizabeth was responsible for managing functionality and data quality issues for Gallup Analytics, serving as a feasibility and research methodologist, and maintaining methodology records. Before Gallup, Elizabeth worked as a Fulbright Fellow at the U.S. Department of State from September 2012 to June 2013, where they independently designed and taught courses and collaborated on teaching English. Elizabeth also had internship experiences at Nonprofits Assistance Fund as an Analytics and Communications Intern and at APCO Worldwide as an Opinion Research Intern. Elizabeth's earlier experiences include working at Coe College as a Writing Consultant and Student Leadership Coordinator, where they conducted writing consultations, conducted conferences to improve reading and writing skills, and managed service and leadership programs for first-year students. Elizabeth also worked as a Resident Assistant, providing peer counseling and promoting community-building on the residence floor. Elizabeth's work experience also includes a role as a Special Emphasis Programming Clerk at the United States Attorney's Office, where they created an organization system for legal resources and implemented diversity programs.
Elizabeth Steele completed their education with a Master of Science (MS) degree in Survey Research and Methodology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Economics and Political Science from Coe College. Their education journey began at Mounds View High School, where they completed their high school education from 2004 to 2008.
