Michaella Alexandrou, MD

Michaella Alexandrou, MD has a diverse work experience in the medical field. Michaella is currently working as a Research Fellow at the Minneapolis Heart Institute Foundation since March 2023. Prior to this, they served as an Internal Medicine Resident at the General Hospital of Pyrgos "Andreas Papandreou" from November 2022 to January 2023.

Michaella also has experience as an Undergraduate Research Fellow at the Iatriki Scholi Athinon/Athens Medical School, where they worked from 2017 to 2019 and from 2020 to 2021. Additionally, they worked as a House of Youth Representatives at Cyprus Youth Council for a short period in June 2016.

Michaella Alexandrou, MD, completed their Doctor of Medicine degree from the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens from 2016 to 2022. During the same period, they also pursued a Minor in European and Global Affairs at The American College of Greece.

Before their university education, Michaella attended Archbishop Makarios III Lyceum from 2013 to 2016, although no degree or field of study is specified.

Additionally, Michaella has obtained several certifications. In 2022, they completed the 3rd Annual Bioethics Summer Course at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Bioethics Academy, the Wound management course at the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens, and obtained the Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) and Newborns Life Support (NLS) certifications from the ERC European Resuscitation Council.

In 2021, Michaella participated in the Suturing Surgical Workshop organized by the Scientific Society of Hellenic Medical Students - SSHMS | EEFIE. In 2020, they attended the Interactive Lectures in Surgery program offered by the American College of Surgeons.

Furthermore, Michaella has obtained additional certifications in 2023. These include Conflicts of Interest, Biomedical Research - Basic/Refresher, and GCP for Clinical Trials with Investigational Drugs and Medical Devices (U.S. FDA Focus), which were obtained through the CITI Program.
