Tim Nelson

Tim Nelson is currently the Director of Communications for the Minnesota Hospital Association since October 2023. Previously, Tim served as a general assignment reporter at Minnesota Public Radio from January 2008 to November 2023, focusing on local and state government, breaking news, criminal justice, and producing feature stories. Tim's journalism experience also includes reporting for the St. Paul Pioneer Press from January 1992 to January 2008, covering public safety and City Hall, as well as a stint at the Crookston Daily Times from 1989 to 1990. Tim holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Gustavus Adolphus College, earned from 1985 to 1989.
