Karen Oberle

Karen Oberle has extensive experience in the field of human resources and compensation. Karen is currently a Board Member (HR Committee Chair) at Empyrean, starting in May 2022. Prior to this role, they worked as a 2nd VP Total Rewards at Securian Financial starting in September 2020. From April 2017 to September 2020, Karen worked as a Total Rewards/HR Consultant at Salo LLC. Their previous experience also includes the role of VP Total Rewards at The Schwan Food Company from March 2011 to April 2017. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing the Total Rewards Team and implementing innovative wellness initiatives. Before that, Karen worked as an AVP Compensation & Benefits at Cargill from February 2009 to August 2011, where they led a team in delivering compensation services. Karen also served as the Director of Compensation at The Mosaic Company from November 2004 to February 2009, where they led the global Compensation department and designed and implemented a global compensation program.

Karen Oberle completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Accounting at Minnesota State University, Mankato from 1986 to 1990. Karen then pursued their Master's in Business Administration with a specialization in Human Resources at the University of St. Thomas - Opus College of Business from 1993 to 1995.
