Geri Katz has extensive experience in political organizing and community outreach within the healthcare and arts sectors. Currently serving as Manager of Practice, Education and Special Projects and Healthcare Reform Specialist at the Minnesota Nurses Association since January 2010, Geri focuses on political, policy, and community outreach initiatives. Prior roles include Political Organizer for the SEIU Minnesota State Council from 2005 to 2009, where responsibilities encompassed legislative advocacy, electoral planning, and event management. Prior to that, Geri coordinated volunteer canvassing for America Coming Together in 2004 and managed operations at Minnesota Citizens for the Arts from 2001 to 2004. Earlier experience includes events planning and development assistance at the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts. Geri Katz earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of California, Davis, between 1991 and 1995.
