Nur Nur

Nur Nur is an experienced professional in labor relations and human rights advocacy, currently serving as a Labor Educator and Labor Relations Specialist at the Minnesota Nurses Association since September 2020. Prior to this role, Nur was self-employed and held significant positions including Regional Director and Field Representative at AFSCME MN Council 5 from March 2017 to February 2020, and Senior Human Rights Advisor for the United Nations/IOM in Somalia from January 2014 to March 2017. Additional experience includes serving as General Counsel at RESOURCE, Inc., and engaging in community advocacy at the Center for Asian and Pacific Islanders. Educational credentials include a Master's degree in Advocacy and Political Leadership from the University of Minnesota-Duluth and a Bachelor's degree in Global Studies/Political Science from St. Cloud State University. Nur also holds an Associate degree from Anoka-Ramsey Community College.
