Laura Jacobi

Laura Jacobi is a seasoned academic with extensive experience in communication studies. Currently a Professor at Minnesota State University, Mankato since August 2015, Laura previously held the position of Professor at the University of Minnesota from September 2007 to May 2015, where responsibilities included serving as the Assistant Basic Course Director and training new Graduate Teaching Assistants. Laura's teaching portfolio encompasses a range of courses such as Interpersonal Communication, Intercultural Communication, Organizational Communication, Public Speaking, and Methods of Teaching Communication Arts. Academically, Laura earned a PhD in Communication Studies from the University of Minnesota and holds both an MA in English and a Bachelor of Arts in English/Language Arts Teacher Education from the University of St. Thomas.
