Sarah Vanderheiden has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and companies. Sarah began their career in 2012 as an Undergraduate Researcher at the University of California San Diego and later at the University of Minnesota, where they focused on biomedical engineering. Sarah conducted research on a range of topics, including tissue stiffness and tension testing.
In 2013, Sarah interned as a Quality Engineering Intern at Boston Scientific, gaining valuable experience in the medical device industry. Sarah then returned to the University of Minnesota as an Undergraduate Researcher before joining Boston Scientific once again in 2014 as a Sustaining R&D Intern.
In 2015, Sarah transitioned to Medtronic, where they worked as a Process Development Engineer for two years. During their time at Medtronic, they further developed their skills and knowledge in the field.
In 2017, Sarah joined Minnetronix, Inc. as a Process Development Engineer II. Sarah later took on the role of Senior Process Development Engineer before transitioning to their current role as a Systems Engineer in June 2022. Sarah's work experience demonstrates their expertise in biomedical engineering, process development, and engineering research.
Sarah Vanderheiden completed their education in the field of Biomedical Engineering. Sarah first pursued their Bachelor's degree at the University of Minnesota, attending from 2010 to 2014. Following the completion of their undergraduate studies, they continued their education at the same institution and obtained a Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering from 2014 to 2015.
