Marcus Ljungblad has a long and varied work experience. Marcus began their career in 2006 as an IT-assistant for the World Organization of the Scout Movement. In 2008, they became a Teaching Assistant at the University of Gothenburg. In 2009, they were a Software Developer Intern for Erlang Solutions Ltd., where they developed a prototype for improved distributed trace collection in Erlang. In 2010, they became a Software Developer for Ericsson. In 2012, they were a Software Developer for MEDEA Collaborative Media Initiative, where they lead the development of an app platform for improving energy efficiency in existing buildings through connected devices. Marcus also did a Master Thesis Project, Intern at Tuenti, where they developed and implemented a prototype for making personalised recommendations from millions of items to millions of users in real-time. Finally, they were a Co-Founder of Minut in 2014.
Marcus Ljungblad obtained a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering and Management from the University of Gothenburg between 2007 and 2010. Marcus then went on to earn a Master's degree in Computer Science from both KTH Royal Institute of Technology and Instituto Superior Técnico between 2010 and 2012.
