Mike Barrientos Penafiel

Mike Barrientos Penafiel is a skilled Control Systems Engineer with a diverse background in engineering roles across various companies. Currently employed at Mipac since October 2023, Mike previously worked at PSA Engineering Services and LogiCamms, where significant contributions included troubleshooting and enhancing control systems in coal processing plants. Earlier experience encompasses a graduate role at Peabody Energy, where Mike improved system efficiency at Moorvale Mine, and tutoring positions at The University of Queensland, focusing on control engineering and mechatronic system design. Mike holds both a Bachelor and Master’s Degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering from The University of Queensland, along with early engineering training from TAFE Queensland.
