Shideh Derakhshani

Shideh Derakhshani has extensive experience in the field of software development and project management. Shideh began their career at StrongAuth, Inc, where they worked as a Security Engineer. During their time there, they developed a risk-management software called StrongKey and provided solutions to comply with PCI-DSS standards for E-commerce companies.

In 2007, Derakhshani joined Kibo Commerce / MarketLive, Inc as a Client Services Developer. Shideh worked directly with clients to develop and implement J2EE E-commerce solutions, including creating new shopping sites and customizing existing ones. Shideh also served as a Joint Escalation Team Engineer, analyzing platform issues and bugs, developing patches, and providing feedback for enhancements and customizations.

More recently, Derakhshani worked at Mira Commerce as a Technical Lead and Project Manager. As the Technical Lead, they supported the development and maintenance of client's eCommerce sites and addressed production issues. As the Project Manager, they were responsible for managing scalable eCommerce platform development projects and ensuring timely delivery within budget. Shideh provided leadership and motivation to the project team and monitored project schedules and budgets.

Throughout their career, Derakhshani has been involved in various phases of software development life cycles and has used Agile methodologies for development. Shideh has contributed to development processes such as creating test cases, conducting code reviews, and developing RESTful APIs.

Shideh Derakhshani obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S) degree in Computer Science from California State University - East Bay, where they studied from 2001 to 2005. In addition to their formal education, they obtained several certifications in project management from Coursera. Shideh completed the "Foundations of Project Management" course in June 2022, followed by the "Project Initiation: Starting a Successful Project" course in July 2022. In February 2023, they completed the "Project Execution: Running the Project" course. In September 2022, they completed the "Project Planning: Putting It All Together" course, and in March 2023, they completed the "Agile Project Management" course. Furthermore, they obtained three certifications in project management from Google through Coursera: the "Google Project Management: Specialization" certificate, the "Google Project Management Certificate," and the "Capstone: Applying Project Management in the Real World" certificate, all of which were obtained in April 2023.
