John Sage has a diverse work experience in the field of medical physics and research. John began their career in 1997 as a Clinical Scientist at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. John then worked as a Senior Clinical Scientist at The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre NHS Foundation Trust from 2000 to 2005. John later joined University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire (UHCW) NHS Trust as a Principal Clinical Scientist from 2005 to 2007. From 2007 to 2014, they served as the Head of Radiotherapy Physics at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust. In 2014, they moved to Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust, where they continued their role as the Head of Radiotherapy Physics until 2019. During this time, they also worked as a Clinical Research Fellow at Coventry University from 2017 to 2019. In 2017, they further joined University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire (UHCW) NHS Trust as the Director of Clinical Physics and Bioengineering until 2019. Currently, they are serving as a Senior Research Scientist at Mirada Medical since October 2019.
John Sage completed their education in a chronological order as follows. From 1992 to 1995, they attended Cardiff University / Prifysgol Caerdydd, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Physics with Medical Physics. John then pursued further education at UCL from 1995 to 1997, earning a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Radiation Physics (Medical Applications). Lastly, they enrolled at The University of Salford and completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Science between 2006 and 2012.
