Rupali P.

Rupali P. is an accomplished scientist with extensive experience in cell biology and protein quality control. Currently serving as the Head of Cell Biology at MIRAI FOODS since January 2020, Rupali P. has previously held significant roles at ETH Zürich from 2014 to 2020, including Senior Staff Scientist and Postdoctoral Scientist, focusing on the diffusion barrier in the endoplasmic reticulum and the mechanism of protein aggregate confinement during cell division. Prior to this, at Temasek Life Sciences Laboratory from 2006 to 2013, Rupali P. identified key roles of the Hsp70-Hsp40 chaperone system in nuclear protein handling. The academic journey began with a PhD focused on the interplay between molecular chaperones and the ubiquitin-proteasome system, followed by an MSc at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.
