Melissa Fraser

Melissa Fraser has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical and medical affairs field. Melissa started their career as a Student at the Medical University of South Carolina, where they focused on studying the role of CaSm in prostate cancer. Melissa then worked as a Post Doctoral Research Associate at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, conducting research on the loss of the Pten gene and its link to glioblastoma tumors.

Melissa later transitioned into the pharmaceutical industry and held various roles as a Medical Science Liaison. Melissa worked at Therakos, Inc. and Veridex, LLC, where they supported both companies as part of a team of MSLs. Melissa also worked at Shire Pharmaceuticals, Ariad Pharmaceuticals, and AMAG Pharmaceuticals, cultivating relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and providing clinical education.

In 2018, Melissa joined Novocure as a Senior Medical Science Liaison, where they focused on building relationships with KOLs in the glioblastoma therapeutic area and attending meetings to report insights to internal stakeholders. Melissa then worked at Millendo Therapeutics as a Contract Medical Affairs Specialist, creating training materials and medical information requests forms.

Currently, Melissa is working at Mirum Pharmaceuticals, Inc. as a Director of Medical Affairs and Program Management. In this role, they support the Global Medical Affairs group, organizes team updates, and leads the global grants committee.

Melissa Fraser completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Marine and Freshwater Biology at the University of New Hampshire from 1992 to 1996. Melissa then pursued their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology at the Medical University of South Carolina from 1996 to 2003.
