Mads Melbye

Mads Melbye is a prominent figure in the field of medical epidemiology, currently serving as Director at the Danish Cancer Institute and Research Director at Kræftens Bekæmpelse since June 2022. Melbye holds the position of Professor of Medical Epidemiology at Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen and has been a Visiting Professor at Stanford University School of Medicine since 2013. Additional roles include being a Professor at NTNU Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, a board member at the Cancer Registry of Norway, and a scientific advisory board member at Oslo University Hospital. Melbye co-founded Mirvie and previously served as a senior advisor at the Norwegian Institute of Public Health. Education includes a Doctor of Medical Science degree and a medical doctorate from Aarhus University.
