Annette Roman-Lugo

Annette Roman-Lugo has extensive work experience in financial control and policy roles. Annette currently serves as the Executive for Financial Control & Policy and Finance Director for S&J and Separately Incorp Ministries at the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America since September 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Controller at the same organization from September 2015 to September 2021.

Before joining the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, Annette worked at PepsiCo Americas Foods for a significant part of their career. Annette held the position of Controller from March 2000 to February 2015, where they were responsible for financial control, reporting integrity, and analysis for a business with over $180 million in revenues. Annette'srole also encompassed overseeing four cross docks in Puerto Rico and two in the Virgin Islands.

Annette'searlier roles at PepsiCo Americas Foods included Financial Planning Manager, Financial Operations Manager, and various positions in the Cost Accounting area. In these roles, they managed operating budgets, conducted financial analysis, and ensured the integrity of financial information. Annette started working at PepsiCo in 1988 and received promotions throughout their tenure.

Annette's professional journey began as an Auditor in the Office of the Comptroller of Puerto Rico in 1987. In this role, they conducted audits on the municipalities of Puerto Rico to ensure compliance with financial and administrative laws.

Annette Roman-Lugo obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Accounting and Business/Management from Universidad de Puerto Rico.
