Cielo Medel

Cielo Medel serves as the Chief Information Officer and Director of IT at the City of Mississauga since January 2023. Previously, Cielo Medel held the role of Director of Operations Support Services at the City of Toronto from July 2017 to January 2023, managing city-wide IT services across multiple portfolios, including Data Centre Operations and Client Computing. Earlier in the career, Cielo Medel worked as a Managing Director at M2 Consulting Services, providing IT management consulting from 1995 to 2017, and held various leadership positions at eHealth Ontario, focusing on governance and transformation within the healthcare IT sector. Educationally, Cielo Medel earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Polytechnic University of the Philippines from 1980 to 1984.
