Diana Major is an experienced animal care professional specializing in aviculture and wildlife management. Currently serving as the Curator of Birds and Ambassador Animals at Mississippi Aquarium since October 2019, Diana oversees a section that includes African Penguins, otters, two-toed sloths, reptiles, and various birds. Previous roles include Senior Aviculturist at SeaWorld San Diego, where expertise in handling multiple penguin and alcid species was developed, and Carnivore Keeper at Turtle Back Zoo, where a broad range of carnivores and large hoof stock were managed. Diana's educational background includes a Master’s degree in Biology from Miami University and a Bachelor of Science in Zoology/Animal Biology and Psychology from State University of New York at Oswego.
