Kaegan Sparks is currently serving as the Associate Curator of Exhibitions at the Mississippi Museum of Art since September 2023. Prior experience includes a position as the William H. Truettner Predoctoral Fellow at the Smithsonian American Art Museum and a Museum Research Consortium Fellow in Media and Performance Art at The Museum of Modern Art. Kaegan has held numerous curatorial roles, including CUNY Mellon Curatorial Fellow at the Dia Art Foundation and Andrew W. Mellon Curatorial Fellow at the James Gallery, CUNY Graduate Center. Additionally, an extensive background includes positions at the New Museum as a Publication Associate, a Fellow at The Drawing Center, and internships in curatorial research and assistance. Educational accomplishments include a Master of Philosophy in Art History from The Graduate Center, CUNY, a fellowship at the Whitney Independent Study Program, and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Pennsylvania in English/Creative Writing and Art History.
