Kyle Broeckel has a diverse work experience spanning across multiple industries and roles. Kyle started their career as an AmeriCorps Literacy Advocate at the Northwest Washington Reading Corps, where they provided small group reading support for students and implemented family outreach initiatives. Kyle then joined the ESD 112 Washington Reading Corps as an AmeriCorps Literacy Advocate.
In 2013, Kyle transitioned to the education sector and worked as a Paraeducator at Vancouver Public Schools, where they provided learning support to students. Kyle also served as a Community School Site Instructor at Camp Fire Columbia, developing and teaching a STEM-focused curriculum to K-5 students.
Kyle's passion for nonprofit work led him to Friends of the Columbia Gorge, where they worked as a Development Assistant. In this role, they managed the Salesforce database and provided user onboarding and training across teams.
Currently, Kyle is employed at Missoula Aging Services. Kyle started as a Development Coordinator, managing the migration of a legacy onsite database to a cloud-based donor database and overseeing the organization's website redesign. Kyle then served as the Development and Communications Team Lead, responsible for the agency's CRM database, website, and supporting tools. Finally, they took on the role of Development Operations Team Lead, where they manage operations for the remote Development and Communications team.
Kyle Broeckel earned a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology from Whitworth University in 2011. In 2013-2014, they obtained a Professional Certificate in Nonprofit Fundraising from Portland State University. In 2016-2017, they received a Nonprofit Technology Professional Certificate from NTEN. Additionally, they obtained certifications as a Salesforce Certified Nonprofit Cloud Consultant and a Salesforce Certified Administrator in 2022.
