Sam Moore currently serves as the Managing Director of Public History at the Missouri Historical Society, a position held since 2023. Previously, Sam was the Founding Executive Director of Moonshot Museum from 2021 to 2023, instrumental in launching the first space museum in Pennsylvania with a successful nearly $3 million capital campaign. Prior roles include Director of Guest Operations at the National Aviary (2019-2021), where focus was placed on mission-centered visitor experiences, and Director of Public Programs at the Senator John Heinz History Center (2018-2019), overseeing programming and community engagement. Sam also contributed as an Adjunct Faculty member in Museum Studies at the University of Missouri-Saint Louis (2016-2018) and held the position of Digital Communications Manager at the Missouri Historical Society (2015-2018). Earlier experience includes serving as the Assistant Director at Campbell House Museum (2013-2015). Educational qualifications include a Master of Arts in History and Museum Studies from the University of Missouri-Saint Louis and a Bachelor of Science in History and Political Science from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.
