Marie-Anne Lachaux

Marie-Anne Lachaux is an AI Research Engineer at Mistral AI since July 2023, focusing on developing advanced generative AI models. Previously, from July 2018 to June 2023, Marie-Anne contributed to Meta as an AI Research Engineer in the Meta GenAI organization, working on large language models and leading the paper release of LLaMA: Open and Efficient Foundation Language Models. Additionally, Marie-Anne's tenure at Meta AI (FAIR) included projects in theorem proving, code generation, and natural language processing. Earlier experience includes a corporate research internship at Dassault Systèmes, specializing in topology optimization, and serving as a Mathematics Oral Examinator for undergraduate students at the Ministère de l'Enseignement Supérieur et de la Recherche in France. Marie-Anne holds a Master of Science from UCL in Computer Graphics, Vision, and Imaging, and a Master of Engineering from Télécom Paris in related fields.
