Simon Bousquet, PhD, has extensive work experience in various roles at Mitacs, starting in 2012. Simon'smost recent position was as the Vice President, Quebec, where they focused on generating impactful outcomes for companies, organizations, postsecondary institutions, researchers, and students. Previously, they served as the Senior Director of Business Development Operations, overseeing a team of 110 people and promoting collaborations between higher education institutions and companies. Simon also held the position of Director of Business Development and Team Lead for Quebec and Atlantic Canada, as well as a Business Development Specialist, where they facilitated research and development opportunities for graduate students and post-doctoral fellows. Before joining Mitacs, Simon worked at the Université de Sherbrooke as a Radiosafety and Biosafety Officer and as a Tutor/Educator in the biological sciences unit of the School of Rehabilitation.
Simon Bousquet, PhD received their Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Biochemistry from Université de Sherbrooke in 2003. Simon then went on to obtain their Master of Science (MSc) in Pharmacology from the same institution in 2005. Simon continued their education at Université de Sherbrooke and completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Pharmacology in 2010.
