Kris Huber has extensive work experience across multiple companies and industries. Starting in 2000, they worked as a Student Researcher at Lucent Technologies. In 2005, they joined Array Systems Computing Inc. and held various roles including Senior Research Scientist, Manager Research and Development, and Chief Technical Officer. At Array Systems, Kris led a team that developed a Software Defined Radio and worked on advanced beamforming and ship tracking algorithms. In 2017, they joined eleven-x as the Director of Technical Accounts before moving on to MIND Technology, Inc. in 2020. At MIND Technology, Kris served as the Director of Machine Learning and Strategic Passive Sonar Programs and is currently the Chief Technology Officer. In these roles, Kris has focused on developing sonar processing and display packages, deploying acoustic analysis products, and proposing new technologies to improve product capabilities.
Kris Huber obtained a PhD in Electrical Engineering from McMaster University, which was completed between the years 2000 and 2005. Before that, they earned a Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the same university, from 1997 to 1999. Their education history includes a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Physics from McMaster University, which was achieved from 1993 to 1997. Kris Huber has also completed several certifications, including the "Fundamentals of Audio and Music Engineering: Part 1 Musical Sound & Electronics" from Coursera (obtained in 2023), the "TensorFlow: Advanced Techniques Specialization" from Coursera (obtained in 2022), the "DeepLearning.AI TensorFlow Developer Specialization" from Coursera (obtained in 2020), and the "Deep Learning Specialization" from Coursera (obtained in 2020).
