Liu Luo

Liu Luo has a diverse and extensive work experience. They currently hold the position of Senior Scientist at Mitra Chem, starting in October 2022. Prior to this, Liu Luo worked at Albemarle Corporation, where they held multiple roles. They served as a Sr. Supervisor, Lithium R&D Cathode from August to November 2022, a Lead R&D Cathode Scientist from April 2021 to September 2022, and an R&D Battery Engineer III from December 2019 to March 2021.

Before joining Albemarle Corporation, Liu Luo was a Graduate Research Assistant at The University of Texas at Austin from September 2015 to December 2019. During this time, they also served as a Teaching Assistant in Fundamental Labs of Chemical Engineering at Cockrell School of Engineering, The University of Texas at Austin. In this role, they guided undergraduate students in lab experiments, assisted with syllabus construction, and graded lab reports. They also acted as a Graduate Mentor in the Graduates Linked with Undergraduates in Engineering (GLUE) Program from April to December 2017.

Liu Luo completed their education in the field of Chemical Engineering. Liu obtained a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Tianjin University, completing their studies from 2011 to 2015. Liu then pursued further academic achievements by attending The University of Texas at Austin, where they earned a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from 2015 to 2019. In addition to their academic pursuits, Liu Luo received a certification as a Certified Engineering Teaching Assistant from the Cockrell School of Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin in May 2018.
