Director Of Corporate Services (secondment To The Delta Companies) at Mitsui

Kurabe Makiura has a diverse work experience that spans various industries and roles. They began their career as a Summer Intern at the Office of Takao Ochi, the member of The House of Representatives Japan, where they were involved in creating a presentation on "The Future of Japan" and analyzing voting patterns. They then moved on to the Edinburgh University Trading and Investment Club as an Analyst, where they critically analyzed the financial market and evaluated the risks and returns of firms.

In 2015, Kurabe became the Co-President of the University of Edinburgh The Japan Society, a student-led international society focused on introducing Japanese culture to Edinburgh and organizing events for members. They also held the role of Project Coordinator/Communication Officer for the Japanese Rugby Football Union, where they organized accommodations and training fields during the U-18 Japanese National Team's tour to Scotland.

Kurabe's next role was as a Summer Intern at McCann Worldgroup, where they worked in the Strategic Planning Team of the Media Division, handling tasks for clients from various industries and coordinating with international offices. They then joined Mitsui & Co., Ltd., initially as an Associate in the Integrated Service Development Department, responsible for business development and sales of a new integrated office service. They were also seconded to AIM SERVICES CO., Ltd., as an Associate in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and Paralympics Initiatives Group.

Most recently, Kurabe has taken on the position of Director of Corporate Services at The Delta Companies, a role they transitioned into from a secondment from Mitsui & Co., Ltd. In this role, they oversee corporate services within the company.

Throughout their career, Kurabe has demonstrated the ability to adapt to different industries and roles, showcasing skills in business development, project coordination, communication, data analysis, and leadership.

Kurabe Makiura completed their undergraduate studies in Economics and Accounting at The University of Edinburgh from 2014 to 2018. Prior to that, they attended Stowe School from 2009 to 2014.
