Andis Draguns is a Research Fellow at ML Alignment & Theory Scholars since January 2024 and has been a Research Assistant at IMCS UL since January 2019, coauthoring four machine learning papers including a first-author publication at the AAAI 2021 conference and achieving state-of-the-art results in the MusicNet music transcription task. Current research focuses on machine learning applications for approximating NP-hard problems and generalizability. Additionally, Andis served as an Instructor for the Program on AI and Reasoning in August 2023 and held the position of Councillor at Latvijas Studentu apvienība from March 2015 to February 2016. Andis holds a Bachelor's degree with distinction in Computer Science and a Bachelor's degree in Physics from Latvijas Universitate, where currently pursuing a Master's degree in Computer Science.
