Joachim van der Herten started their work experience in 2008 as a Job Student at Bozar. In 2010, they worked as an Innovation Analyst at eServGlobal, followed by a role as a Technical Assistant with Innovation Projects at the same company in 2011. In 2012, they worked as a Software Engineer at Next Generation Innovation. From 2013 to 2017, they worked at Ghent University, first as a PhD Student and then as a Postdoctoral Researcher. In 2017, Joachim co-founded ML2Grow and took on the role of Co-Founder & CTO. At ML2Grow, their focus is on identifying global needs and helping organizations solve them through the application of machine learning and artificial intelligence.
Joachim van der Herten's education history is as follows:
Joachim started their education journey at Onze-lieve-vrouwecollege from 2002 to 2008, where they obtained a graduate degree in Latin-Sciences.
Joachim then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Computer science at the University of Antwerp from 2008 to 2011.
Following that, Joachim continued their studies at the University of Antwerp from 2011 to 2013, earning a Master's degree in Computer science with a focus on scientific computing.
Later in 2013, they attended Aalto University as part of the Erasmus program, where they pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science.
In addition to their formal education, Joachim also obtained several certifications. In 2018, they became a Professional Data Engineer certified by Google Cloud Platform. In 2019, they obtained the Apache Cassandra 3.x Developer Associate certification from DataStax and also became a Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect.
