Moussali began their career as an intern at Michigan Medicine, where they utilized Python to develop an algorithm that detects the peaks of the intestinal slow waves in real‑time to deliver a synchronized intestinal stimulation. Philippe then implemented the algorithm in C to integrate it with the hardware of an intestinal pacemaker and optimized it to have a minimal delay, low power consumption and high detection accuracy of 89%. Moussali also validated the physiological effects of the synchronized stimulation during experimental clinical trials on rats which reduced blood glucose level by 20% after 30 min compared to baseline.

After their internship, Moussali became a data analyst at Philips. There, they aggregated data from different business units to conduct a gap analysis that increased the overall suppliers in the procurement portal by 24%. Philippe also improved the search results of the procurement tool by mining and classifying relevant keywords from the client’s search history that resulted in a 15% increase in customer engagement. Finally, Moussali developed macros to automate the generation of dashboards and monthly reports that provided visibility into the status of key performance metrics.

Now, as a machine learning engineer at ML6, Moussali is using their skills and experience to develop models and algorithms that can be used to improve various aspects of businesses and organizations.
