Karen Langenfeld has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and organizations. Karen started their career at Alternatives for People with Autism as a Behavior Analyst and QDDP from 1989 to 1995. Karen then worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Minnesota from 1995 to 1998. In 2001, they became a Market Research Project Manager at ANA. Karen joined the Minnesota Department of Human Services in 2002 and held various roles including Project Team Leader, Policy Lead for Home Care and Personal Care Assistance, and Health Care Reform Policy Analyst until 2015. From 2015 to 2017, Karen worked as a State Innovation Model Grant Planner at the Minnesota Department of Health. Karen'smost recent position is at MNsure, where they are currently serving as the State Planning Director-Policy Analyst and Business Specialist starting in 2021.
Karen Langenfeld completed their Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Bachelor of Science in Special Education at Minnesota State University Moorhead from 1982 to 1987. Karen further pursued their education at the University of Minnesota from 1993 to 1999, where they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Educational Psychology.
