Stacy Brooks has a strong background in education, with a focus on library media and technology support. Stacy began their career in 1997 as a Secondary Educator - English at UMS-Wright Preparatory School. In 1999, they joined Mobile County Public Schools as a Secondary Educator - English. In 2007, they transitioned to become a Library Media Specialist and Technology Support Teacher at Mobile County Public School System, where they demonstrated proficiency in technology application skills, implemented the library/media program, and provided support and training to teachers. In 2009, Stacy joined ACCESS Distance Learning as an Online Instructor and Teacher Mentor. Throughout their various roles, Stacy has consistently exhibited strong communication skills, demonstrated professional ethics and leadership, and contributed to student progress and the overall educational program.
Stacy Brooks has an extensive education history. Stacy completed an Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in Library Media from the University of West Alabama from 2012 to 2014. Prior to that, they pursued a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree in Library Media from the University of South Alabama from 2004 to 2007. Stacy also holds a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree in Secondary Education - English from the University of South Alabama, which they obtained from 1994 to 1996. Stacy started their academic journey by obtaining a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in English from the University of South Alabama from 1990 to 1994.
In addition to their formal education, Stacy has obtained several certifications. In April 2023, they received certifications in Cybersecurity Fundamentals and Project Management Fundamentals from the United Latino Students Association and IBM, respectively. In February 2023, they obtained certifications in Information Technology Fundamentals, SkillsBuild - Customer Engagement: Communication and Personality Dynamics, and SkillsBuild - Customer Engagement: Problem Solving and Process Controls, all from IBM.
