James Townsend

James Townsend has a diverse work experience that spans over a decade. In 2009, they worked as a Maths Teacher at Copley High School as part of the Teach First Leadership Development Programme. During their two-year tenure, they taught various age groups and abilities and achieved remarkable results with their Year 9 class.

Following this, they joined Teach First as a Participant President from 2011 to 2012, where they were elected by the program's participants and represented them as an ambassador to key stakeholders and officials.
