Sebastian Aranguiz has a diverse work experience spanning over 15 years. Sebastian started their career as a Product Field Engineer at Motorola in 2005, where they gained experience in field engineering. From 2006 to 2011, they worked as a Project Manager for MAG Telecomunicaciones, a start-up working for Motorola Chile, specializing in mobile field testing. In 2012, Sebastian worked as a Process Improvement Consultant at DEKRA Testing and Certification, S.A.U.
In 2013, Sebastian joined The University of Queensland as a Student Researcher, where they provided consulting services to start-ups, specifically focusing on designing internet-based platforms for collaborative innovation. Additionally, they provided marketing consulting for start-ups launching technological projects at Uniquest, the university's business incubator.
From 2014 to 2017, Sebastian worked as a Quality and Innovation Analyst at Consejo para la Transparencia, where they gained experience in quality assurance and innovation processes. In 2018, they joined moovel Group as a Quality Assurance Engineer, further advancing their expertise in quality assurance.
In 2020, Sebastian joined Mobimeo as a Senior QA Engineer. In this role, they lead the Front-end Test Automation team, scaling a Kotlin test automation framework for multi-flavour Android and iOS apps. Sebastian is also responsible for implementing CI pipelines for test automation on GitHub Actions and maintaining an in-house devices farm. Sebastian is highly knowledgeable in the company's platform and actively participates in the on-call engineering rotation.
Throughout their career, Sebastian has gained expertise in quality assurance, test automation, process improvement, project management, and innovation analysis. Their varied work experience has allowed him to develop a strong skill set in these areas.
Sebastian Aranguiz completed a Master of Technology and Innovation Management from The University of Queensland in the year 2013. Prior to that, they obtained a degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Electronics and Telecommunications Systems from Universidad de Santiago de Chile between 1999 and 2005. Additionally, Sebastian has acquired several certifications, including AI Programming with Python Nanodegree from Udacity in January 2023, Mobile Application Testing from ISTQB® - International Software Testing Qualifications Board in October 2021, and Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) from ISTQB® - International Software Testing Qualifications Board in September 2017.
